I am doing better now. The last few weeks have been pretty rough. Between issues with the pharmacy, a lot of back-and-forth with my HRT provider, and some bad bouts of gender dysphoria, I have been struggling quite a bit. However, things have started to calm down towards the end of this week and itContinue reading “Week 38: Cresting the peak on a rough month”
It has not been a good week.
It seems that I have reached an odd stage in my transition where I don’t pass as a woman, but don’t exactly read as a man.
On December 18th, 2019, I decided to start hormone replacement therapy and my transition. It can’t believe it’s been over a year. It feels like it was only yesterday that I made that life-changing decision. Looking back, it frankly amazes me that I ever decided to transition. Going through my journal entries from the time,Continue reading “An important anniversery”
My current transition challenge is making everything line up. The most important change has been the disappearance of my headaches. I started getting headaches shortly after starting progesterone. I would experience them almostContinue reading “Week 30 update: a few good weeks”
About a week and a half ago, I started taking progesterone. I am currently taking 100 mg daily, which seems to be the standard starting dosage. I didn’t quite know what to expect from adding progesterone and so far the only effect has been headaches. Lots of headaches. I had my first headache about 3-4Continue reading “Progesterone : Quite a headache”
It has been about a month since I started a higher estrogen dosage, and it appears to have been a great success. Increasing my dosage seems to have unstalled several feminizing effects of HRT. Unfortunately, I will not know how this new dosage has affected my hormone levels until my next HRT appointment, which isContinue reading “Week 27 update: A month of higher dosage”
The unique nature of mental health makes discussing the effect of hormones on it incredibly difficult.
